Any foreigner wishing to travel to Niger must be in possession of a valid passport or other documentation from his country recognized by the Republic of Niger as an official travel document and an entry visa to Niger. Exception is made for nationals of countries with which Niger is bound by a Visa Waiver Agreement.
The entry visa to Niger is an entry and residence permit for a limited period of time in Niger, issued by the competent Nigerien authorities. This authorization is embodied in the consulate of Niger in London, by the affixing of a stamp in lieu of visa. However, the possession of a visa to Niger does not confer an irrevocable entry.
Visa applications are made at the consulate every working day from 9 am to 12:30 pm. The visa issue period is 5 working days.
Passport pick-ups are made by visa applicants from Monday to Friday from 12 noon to 2 PM. A visa applicant wishing to have his / her passport delivered must attach a secure, prepaid envelope bearing his or her address to his initial application.
Application Material for adults
• Two (2) duly completed Application Forms for entry visa to Niger, in accordance with the model on the website
• Two (2) recent passport photos, 2 × 2 format
• A Valid passport or travel document: the validity of the passport or travel document must be greater than 90 days and in any case greater than the length of the stay.
• A copy of the residence card or any other document in lieu of foreigners residing in the countries of the embassy’s jurisdiction
Application Material for Minors
Just like the adult, the minor applicant for entry visa to Niger must have a valid passport, issued in his name. It can not be indicated as an applicant for entry visa to Niger on the passport of his parents. The visa application form for minors must include, in addition, • copies of the birth certificate and the minor’s plane ticket,
• parents’ identity documents and an authorization to leave the territory from both parents or the parent that is not traveling with the child, where the child is traveling alone or with one of the parents.
• In the event that the minor travels with both parents, copies of the airline tickets of the latter are also requested.
Journalists Visa
In addition to documents provided for the visa for adults, obtaining a visa to enter Niger for journalists is subject to an authorization from the Ministry of Communication.
The request for permission, indicating the object, location, period and the material of the shooting or the report, must be addressed by the interested person directly to the Ministry of Communication of Niger. The fee applied for the entry visa to Niger for minors and journalists is the same as for adults.
Documents to be provided for Diplomatic Passports
– Application form for entry visa to Niger, in accordance with the model annexed, completed in two (2) copies;
– Two photo ID, 2X2 format;
– A valid diplomatic passport. The validity of the passport must be longer than 90 days and in any case greater than the length of the stay
– A note verbale from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,
Documents to be provided for Official Passports
– Application form for entry visa to Niger, in accordance with the model annexed, completed in two (2) copies;
– Two photo ID, 2X2 format;
– Valid service passport. The validity of the passport must be longer than 90 days and in any case greater than the length of the stay;
– Note verbale from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs;
– Copy of the mission order.
